Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist
who formerly worked as a television correspondent for ABC News. She is most
famous for her stint as cohost of Good Morning America Weekend, between 2014
and 2018, as well as hosting of The View, 2015-2018. She was previously
co-anchor of America This Morning and World News Now. After graduating, she
worked in several communications-related jobs including an operations position
at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio. She was employed in sales for
radio, due to the lack of television opportunities. After one year working as a
production assistant for WKEF/WRGT, she eventually was able to report and
anchor periodically. She was one of the weekend and weekday sports anchors for
WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002 until. After her contract was up she took on the
role of anchor and sports reporter for the NBC affiliate WMAQ-TV in Chicago
from November 2005 through December 2011. In December 2011, she was recruited
by ABC News, the division for news of ABC. On January 2, 2012 she debuted on
ABC News' World News Now and America This Morning. She was a correspondent and
substitute for Good Morning America during this time. Later, she was elevated
to become a New-York-based reporter for all ABC News programs. The final show of
World News Now and America This Morning was January 22, 2013. Following the
time that Bianna Golodryga resigned to join Yahoo!, her debut as co-anchor on
Good Morning America Weekend was made August 9, 2014. News. ABC announced that
she would join The View as a cohost for season 19. The contract was renewed by
ABC for the 20th season on the 3rd of August. Season 21 also got renewed with
the co-hosting role. She was a regular guest on Friday episodes of the 21st and
22nd seasons.
