Milena Govich
Milena Govich is an actress, director,
and musician. She has directed a number of episodes of TV that include Chicago
Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). She was also the Co-EP/Producing
Director on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018), and she is slated to direct two
pilots currently in development. Milena was one of the eight women chosen by
AFI for their famous Directing Workshop for Women. She also took part in the
Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable the short film she
created, as well as a television show proof of concept, was shown at SXSW. It
also received Best Episodic at the Seattle International Film Festival, and
Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. Her short film Temporary (2017)
was screened throughout the nation. She was awarded the award for Best
Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta
ShortsFest. And the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film
Festival. Milena has appeared in more than 100 TV episodes as an actor. She
first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the
prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis
Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her first appearance on CBS. She later became
the only female detective on Law & Order (1990). K-Ville (2007), The
Defenders (2010) (CBS), Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and Lori
Stevens in the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014) have been a part of her, or have
recurred. Milena has also been featured in numerous films including Sordid
Things (2008); A Novel Romance (2011) as a co-star with Steve Guttenberg; Pass
the Light (2015) and #Lucky Number (2015). She also starred opposite Method
Man. Milena, a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her
high-school before she graduated with two major vocal performances and premed
at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high
school. In the following years, Milena utilised her ballet education to perform
in a show on Broadway in the Sam Mendes/Rob Marshall production 'Cabaret' at
Studio 54.
