Ayelet Zurer

Ayelet Zurer one of Israel's best loved actresses, is a special lady. Her birthplace is in Tel Aviv, and first was noticed by Hollywood after she was cast by Steven Spielberg in her first English-speaking role as Eric Bana's character's wife in the Oscar(r) nominated film Munich (2005). After arriving in the United States, Zurer has starred in Studio films like Sony Pictures' Vantage Point with Dennis Quaid and William Hurt as well as Samuel Goldwyn's Fugitive Pieces opposite Stephen Dillane, Paul Schrader's Adam Resurrected opposite Jeff Goldblum and Willem Dafoe. Ron Howard's Angeles and Demons, opposite Tom Hanks, Darling Companion which is a Lawrence Kasdan ensemble casting that features Diane Keaton, Kevin Kline and Warner Bros. Man Of Steel in the role of Russell Crow. She filmed Rodrigo Garcia, Last days in the desert, which she starred in alongside Ewan McGregor, as well as waiting for the release date of the movie The Last Knights by the Japanese director Kazuaki Kiriya opposite Clive Owen. She recently received the Gold Nymph Award for Outstanding Actress in the Drama Series at the 54th Festival of Television in Monte-Carlo, for her performance in the series "Hostages". Ayelet was nominated for the Israeli Film and Television Academy Award for her role in Nina's Tragedies. Ayelet was also nominated due to her performance in films Only Dogs Run Free and The Dybuk, from Holy Apple Field, Desperado and Rutenberg. Zurer was awarded the Haifa International Film Festival critic award and was awarded the Haifa's "film boulevard" for her international and local achievements. Zurer was awarded the Israeli Television Academy Award for her role in "In Treatment" that is an internationally acclaimed television series that was made into American TV by HBO. She was also nominated as apposite in 2014's year's best drama "Shtisel", and was awarded the most outstanding actress for drama for her portrayal as a brilliant surgeon facing an existential dilemma in Hostages. The show was licensed to BBC4 & Canal Plus and the American ABC. The "face " of one of Israel's top female-focused fashion houses- Golbary. Ayelet is a producer as well as writerand illustrator for two adult books, "Shorts" and the most popular "Badolina" by Gabi Nitazn. Ayelet is working on a few projects in Israel and the USA. She expressed the desire for international collaboration with directors from all over the world and believes in joining unknown writers/directors.
